Tom Conley, President, Executive Managing Director and Co-Founder
Tom is a very community-minded person who has a great work ethic. He has experience in leadership and management with a sound knowledge of administrative, research, analysis and problem solving, and computer skills. Tom is the President, Executive Managing Director and Co-Founder of DCSS Australia Inc., formerly known as LGBTIQ – Support & Protection Services Inc., which was founded in February 2014.
Tom currently holds the post-nominals and membership of AMICDA (Associate Member of the Institute of Community Directors). Tom is currently studying a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and a Bachelor of Social Science majoring in Criminology (BASocSc). Tom has been involved within community services since his early teens as Indigenous youth. He has always had a passion to help make a difference in the community and in people’s lives.
Adriana Saw, GRCP Advisor
Adriana has been the Governance, Risk, Compliance and Policy (GRCP) Advisor since July 2018. Adriana is a member of the Advisory Board. Adriana’s key responsibilities are to build, continuously improve and provide independent oversight and advice on DCSS Australia’s risks and build a strong risk and compliance culture. Adriana has more than 13 years’ experience in audit, compliance and risk management working in large private sector businesses. Adriana is a creative, driven and analytical risk leader who is passionate about creating human-centred design solutions to problems, simplifying outcomes, and transforming these into opportunities. Adriana is passionate about learning and professional coaching/mentoring and has successfully worked with people from a variety of backgrounds (including disadvantaged) to educate and provide them with the core skills to assist them in finding appropriate employment and roles. Adriana is also keen to promote the visibility of gender and ethnic diversity in senior corporate and organisational roles.
George Farmakis, NSW State Director
George joined DCSS Australia in 2019 and is the NSW State Director and is predominantly responsible for advising and overseeing the organisation's investment strategy and finance matters in NSW. George has over 8 years’ experience within the private sector, working for both large corporations and small business across the accounting, financial service and governance industries. He is passionate about empowering all people to reach their true potential regardless of the obstacles, as well as providing supportive environments for vulnerable communities. George is a CFA Charter holder and holds and Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) and a Bachelor of Arts (History) from the University of New South Wales.
Chloe Palmer, Organisation Support Officer
Chloe is a passionate advocate for the health and social equality and has been a dedicated board member and director of numerous humanitarian and social impact organisations for a number of years. She is a biomedical science (BBiomedSc) and international public health (MIPH) graduate with outstanding knowledge of global health systems, health economics and social wellness. Chloe is currently working in the marketing and communications space producing and managing digital and print content for a Medical/Aged Care facility in East Sydney.
Piotr Debowski, Board Secretary and Community Membership Chair
Piotr joined DCSS Australia in July 2019 bringing with him a vast facet of experience in leadership, operations and law. Piotr joined DCSS Australia due to his passion for legal education, policy reform and advocacy for social justice issues. Piotr holds a Bachelor of Law (Hons) from Monash University, a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the College of Law and is planning to become an admitted solicitor. Piotr currently works as a corporate tax consultant within one of the big four consulting firms.
Holly Duncan, Organisation Support Officer
Holly is a management consultant with a passion for human-centred design, facilitation and delivering impact. She believes that focussing on human outcomes is the best way to deliver community and organisational results. Holly has previously acted as a Committee Member at Pyrmont Cares. She is originally from Brisbane and has previously lived in Manchester, having moved to Sydney in 2017.
Stacey D'Cruze, Advisory Committee Member, Organisation Development Manager
Stacey has six years of advisory and industry experience in internal audit, governance and risk management. Stacey joined DCSS Australia as Organisation Development Manager in 2019. In her role, he is responsible for developing and implementing strategic objectives and policies. She is also a member of the Advisory Committee; providing strategic advice, governance and oversight to DCSS Australia. Stacey holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting/Econometrics) from Monash University, an Associate membership with The Institute of Internal Auditors Australia and is currently an MBA candidate at Monash Business School. Stacey currently works within an Internal Audit and Fraud division at a large telecommunication company.
Arthur Chan, Advisory Committee Member, Media and Public Relations Officer
Arthur joined DCSS in July 2019 and brings with him over ten years of experience in communication, media relations and issues management. At DCSS, he is the Deputy Secretary for the NSW branch and is also oversees communication activities. Arthur has consulted for both public and private companies and managed communication activities for a range of commercial transactions and political issues across different sectors. He is passionate about making a positive contribution to social policy to serve a community with diverse needs. Arthur holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of Technology Sydney, a Graduate Certificate in Economics from the University of Sydney and a Diploma of Investor Relations from the Australian Investor Relations Association.
